Joel Smith, DACM, L.Ac/RN
Joel is the founder of NeuroSport Acupuncture. He graduated from California-State East Bay with B.S in Health Science. For twenty-eight years, Joel has been a licensed registered nurse with experienced in emergency medicine, home-health care, workers compensation, and life-care planning for traumatic injuries.
Joel is a licensed acupuncturist in California. Joel earned his Master in Science from Five Branches University. He also completed post-graduate training in Hangzhou, China where he trained in Pediatrics, Internal medicine, Oncology, Gynecology and Orthopedics.
Joel has received specialized training in Neuro-Acupuncture that integrates Traditional Chinese needling methods with Western biomedical neurology under the direction of Jason and Linda Hao in Albuquerque, NM at the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute. Additional trainings include Tung-style acupuncture, Sports Injury/Orthopedics and Auricular therapy.
